Happy birthday to Jamie!

Caleb's cousin, Jamie, turned 4 on Monday and had a birthday party over the weekend that Caleb loved--the Detroit Zoo in the afternoon, then a Tigers game at night. Caleb is already asking when it will be Jamie's birthday again.
It may be hard to tell, but Josie is passed out in the carrier at this point. She wanted to be faced out the entire day to see all that was happening and tried to fight from sleeping--looks like she finally lost that fight.

End of summer Fun

We crammed in a few things before I headed back to school on Thursday. Wednesday night we went to the 'Critter barn' in Zeeland...an educational farm for kids. Hey-we live in Byron Center now, so we figure Caleb better know a bit about farms. He got to feed a baby goat (there's goat milk in the bottle, not Mountain Dew), run with sheep, hold a rabbit, and even watch mommy goats get milked by hand...he chose not to do this himself.
Here I am, getting ready to feed Josie in the car while staring at all of the lactating goats on the farm. Please..no comments on this one.

John Ball Zoo

We went to John Ball zoo with Caleb's cousins, Dawson and Jamie, and friends Jordan and Jacob. Here's Dawson, Jordan, Jamie and Caleb doing funny faces...

Caleb keeps telling me that he rode on a horsey at the zoo. We need to work on our animal identification some more.

Playing in the goat's drinking water...who knew the pool of water (just like we have at home) would be more fun than the goats.

New house, new activities

Josie has a crib now and enjoys watching her mobile go for about 2-3 minutes at a time.
Caleb likes to hide in our closet. On this particular day, he got into the bin of clothes from Dawson and decided he would wear froggy slippers and a winter hat. Apparently he has heard how important it is to keep your head and feet warm.

Helping Dad with the first load

Caleb and Franky were helping to load up the Suburban with boxes on Tuesday night. We started moving things into the new house on Wednesday.

Look who's happy

I told Josie she would soon get to have a bedroom--she's very excited.
