First day of school

Caleb had his first day of school on Monday, September 12.  He was very excited and had his backpack packed with paper, ready to go plenty early...so we had a lot of time to take some pictures!
Josie thought she was going to go to school too.  As you can see below, she wasn't very happy that she didn't get to stay at school, like Caleb but instead had to come home with me.  Too, bad, Josie...just a couple more years of Mom.

Caleb ended up having a great day on Monday, and is so proud of himself for going and not being scared, and wants to tell everyone we see that he goes to school.  He even instructed me to tell my students that, "I'm 4 years old, I go to school and I'm a sweetie-pie".

Apple Picking

We headed to Cranes to go apple picking with Grandpa and Grandma V, Uncle Joel, Aunt Shontel, Nathan, Daniel and Peter.  We got a lot of great apples, and afterward the kids entertained us with their debut milk jug band performance.

Hanging out

Kyle and I both had the Friday of Labor Day weekend off, so we took the kids to Saugatuck for the day.  We went on a Duck ride in town and ni the harbor, climbed mt. Baldhead, walked around town and got ice cream.  We all had a great time.

These 2 are pretty into hot tubs.  so much that they even made their own.  Thankfully they didn't try to add real water.

The Hudsonville fair to check out the animals and big lawn equipment...(I don't know what Josie's doing in her overalls : )
This is a bit scary.
