Caleb's Kindergarten class went to Post Family farm for their first field trip. Since I am still on maternity leave from school, I was able to go along. Despite the fact that they got to pick pumpkins, take a hay ride, eat donuts, see a bunch of animals and play with friends, Caleb's favorite parts were very non-farm like: a rope swing and a zip line.

Bath Time
We try to give Kendall a bath every night as a bedtime routine and to keep her awake and happy for a while in the evenings. Usually, she enjoys this time, and has started to coo and grin a bit. Hopefully we can get a picture of one of those smiles pretty soon.

Fall Fun
This fall, Josie is enrolled in gymnastics at the community Rec center. She decided to warm up at home before her first class, and insisted on wearing her gymnastics sweatshirt (?)
she is such a goof ball.
Perfecting the somersault and the balance beam.
Caleb is playing AYSO soccer this year for the first time. The team only has 5 boys on it and they play 3-on-3. Most of the time, it's 6 boys running around in chaos.
Taking the goal kick.
Practicing hit shot in warm-ups
Busy feeding Kendall at the game

Kendall 1 month
Kendall turned 1 month last Friday, so I am a little behind on posting. Despite being hungry or having a gas bubble, she is a very content baby and likes to gaze at the bigger kids running around and playing. She's weighing just over 11 pounds, a tribute to the fact that she likes to eat much and often. For comparison, here is Josie at 1 month and caleb at 1 month

Bus Stop and other pictures
Since Caleb didn't have bussing the first week of school, we had to wait to get the classic getting-on-the-bus picture. This is our neighbor (2 doors down) and Caleb's best friend, Rowan.
No fear. If the bus driver hadn't told him to turn for a picture, he wouldn't have even looked back at us to say goodbye. Pretty excited to be so big!
Kendall is one month old today. So far, it has felt a bit like a blur--maybe because it's really busy and not a lot of sleeping when they are this little. She seems pretty content, eats like a champ, and is happy awake for a lot of her time. these pictures are actually about a week ago. Hopefully soon I will post her 1-month picture
Taking a bottle with Grandma V, and giving Josie the inspection.
