Go Tigers!!!

We thought we'd let the kids watch a couple of innings of Saturday night's world series game.   Maybe if Josie knew which team is the tigers, her cheers would have worked.

Expanding Families

This weekend, we welcome a new niece born to Brad and Kara on Friday, October 26 around 9:30 pm.  We also welcomed (from a 70 mile distance) a new nephew born to Joel and Shontel on Saturday morning.  Shontel and Kara were due on the same day and ended up having these babies only about 10 hours apart!

We got to go visit Kara and Brad's precious (but nameless) little girl on Saturday night.  Caleb and Josie kept Bria and Uncle Brad entertained by running the halls and hiding out in this little cubby.

Celebrations

This weekend gave our family many reasons to celebrate.  On Friday, I celebrated a birthday and some silly creative kids that made presents and decorations.  Caleb hung little signs like these around the house (he's only allowed to tape onto white parts of the house)

He also made me a 'travel mirror' of foil taped onto black construction paper.  After I opened it, he gave me careful instructions on how to use it and fold it compact for my purse.

The kids got to celebrate Halloween a bit early with the Trunk or Treat at the park nearby.  Josie is a pig (since you can't see her snout) and Caleb is her farmer.

On Sunday we celebrated Kendall's baptism and God's promises to her.  She was such a good girl all day...a happy little trooper for having to stay awake, get passed around, and not get to her bed until almost 1:00.

These are just pictures I liked of her recently with the creases in her thighs and her cute little feet and her jump-up facial expression.

More photos...

apparently she is still a little fixated with the camera (or maybe terrified of it??)
Josie sure loves her little sister...
 ..sometimes a bit too much.
check out that double chin.  She has Michelin-man rolls on her thighs to match!
Ready for a cold fall walk before bed.  Thanks to Kristin S. for the cute hat!
Letting the curdles of life just roll down chin.

2 months already

It's hard to believe that Kendall is already 2 months old.  She is such a wonderful baby so far...she eats great, sleeps well (about a 6 to 7 hour stretch at night) and is generally pretty happy when she is awake.  She loves to 'coo' and smile with someone, but whenever we get the camera out, she just stares blankly at it, so we haven't gotten too many great pictures of those cute smiles.

talking with Daddy.  Check out how chubby she's gotten...I think she's around 13 pounds!
This is the face she makes when studying the camera.
She is already loving being in the jump-up and Caleb and Josie like to sit in front of it to talk with her.  We may be doing quite a lot of this!
